fulcrumates

cake on the counter

once I dreamed of eating it

like snow that fills in

snow filling footsteps

once I dreamed of eating it

cake on the counter

I love the haiku because it shows the middle line as something that straddles both lines at the same time. it is the metamodern, that middle line is both connected and disconnected to the line before or after it. like a seesaw. tilt it one way and then tilt it the other way. I want to write seesaw haiku. with the weight of one image on one side and the weight of another image on the other side and then a fulcrum in the middle. I need to try and find fulcrum type things. perhaps that's one thing that the metamodern does, fulcrumates.
